XFA (XML Forms Architecture) PDF files are dynamic forms primarily created using Adobe LiveCycle or Adobe AEM Forms. These documents behave differently from standard PDFs (AcroForms), which leads to several limitations when attempting to apply an electronic signature.
Incompatibility With Electronic Signature Solutions
XFA PDFs are not supported by most electronic signature platforms unless they are flattened beforehand.
This is especially true for dynamic XFA forms, which present additional technical challenges.
Non-Compliance With The PDF 2.0 Standard
The XFA format does not comply with the PDF 2.0 standard.

NOTE: This operation removes the XFA structure and transforms the document into a standard PDF, compatible with most signature tools.
